Based in Austin, LSD Studio crafts spaces where story, material, and human experience converge—environments as singular as the people who inhabit them.

Studio

LSD Studio is a design practice focused on residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors. We work at every scale—from single rooms to full renovations to new construction—with an emphasis on craft, material integrity, and spaces that foster connection with oneself, the community, and the environment.

Approach

Every project begins with listening. We want to understand how you live, what you value, and what you want a space to feel like—not just look like. From there, we develop a narrative that guides every decision, from layout to lighting to the grain of the wood.

We collaborate closely with architects, builders, and artisans, and we're hands-on through construction. Our goal is a seamless process and a result that feels inevitable—like the space couldn't have been anything else.

Connect with us.

We take on residential projects of all scales—from single rooms to full renovations to new construction, as well as select hospitality and commercial work. If you're considering a project, we'd love to hear about it: studio@lsdstudio.com

Liz Swaminathan, Principal

Liz founded LSD Studio to bring architectural rigor and an artistic sensibility to interior design. Her work is shaped by a belief that spaces should feel both deeply personal and inevitable—crafted from honest materials, informed by how people actually live, and built to last.

A native Texan, Liz studied Architecture and Interiors at the University of Texas School of Architecture before building a career in commercial real estate and technology leadership. In 2024, she returned full-time to design, drawing on a combination of rigor and creativity to shape spaces that are at once timeless and deeply personal.

Her process is guided by a belief in transparency, collaboration, and the power of design to elevate everyday experience.
